6 Shopping Hacks: How to Get the Best Deals on Black Friday

It's coming – here's how to get the best Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals.

Black Friday is almost here! Of course, now it’s more like an entire shopping pop up card gift season than just one day. The deals have already started this year, and they will run through Cyber Monday on December 2.

If you want to really get the best deals this year, you have to shop smarter than ever. These are the best secret Black Friday tips you’ll need to know so that you can make the most out of your shopping season and save as much money as possible!

1. Make a Black Friday pop up card gift wish list

Before you spend time on Black Friday, set a budget and stick to it. Make a list pop up card gift of everyone for whom you’ll be shopping, which card you’ll buy them, and about how much you expect those items to cost. That’s your firm budget limit – spending more is unacceptable.

As Black Friday gets closer, you can use the tips below to check actual item costs, stretch your dollars further, and finish the day under budget.

2. Follow us on social media

This tip pays dividends throughout the year, but it’s especially great during the holidays when we announce every promotional activity and offer last-minute deals in higher volumes.

If you have an active Facebook account, you should also follow our Facebook pages. Depending on your privacy settings and browsing habits, your retail Facebook ads might be well-targeted to your tastes.

3. Sign Up for the Newsletters

It takes just a few seconds to enter your email address and costs nothing to receive a standard newsletter. To avoid clutter in your regular inbox, create a burner email address just for retail notifications or use an email client that segregates sales emails in a separate folder. (This is one of my favorite things about Gmail; I get a lot of promo emails.)

4. Bookmark our Websites

Sounds obvious, but you’d be surprised how many people don’t take full advantage of bookmarks. They exist for a reason, people!

Bring the organization to your retail bookmarks by adding a few words of description to each title. For instance, your pop up card gift for family bookmark might read “Unipop Deal Family.” There’s no wrong answer here – whatever makes sense to you is fine. If you have lots of other bookmarks, you can further compartmentalize your retail collection by creating special folders for Black Friday or the holiday shopping season in general.

5. Understand Return Policies and Fees

Knowing our policy on returns can help you determine which to buy. Returns usually need to be unopened and in original packaging. It’s pretty rare for us to accept opened items for return, and rarer still for unopened returns to earn cash refunds

6. Strategically abandon your cart

If you’re shopping online and not finding any discounts, it may help to close out of your browser without buying anything and wait a few hours. In other words, abandon your cart.

When it comes to using the “abandon your cart” approach during Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, make sure that you keep track of when a promotion period ends. If you haven’t received any additional coupons via email and the sale is about to end, you may want to check out other stores or simply move forward with the sale price you already have.
